What are "Collectibles"?

Edited

When you make a post on MintStars, you’ll have the option to make it into Collectible content.

Think of it like pay-to-view content, but with limited copies. When you make your content Collectible, only a limited number of copies are available - either for sale (like a clip store) or to subscribers.

How it works

Fans can keep the Collectibles as long as they want, but if they no longer want access, they can list them for sale on MintStars. When a fan sells your content, they lose access, and the buying fan unlocks the content to view for themself.

At this point, the selling fan receives money from the buying fan, and you as the creator are automatically paid a royalty fee.

The royalty fee is a % of every resale, which you can choose. We recommend trying a royalty fee of 20-40%, which should encourage resales, while ensuring you earn a significant amount when content is resold!

Some Creators, especially Dommes, set their royalty fees very high, sometimes even 100%.

This enables you to earn more from your content over time and incentivizes fans to promote you.

This feature is totally optional, you can also choose to use the platform just like a traditional subscription site. In an industry where leaks, piracy, and revenge-porn are huge issues, we decided to try to find a solution where fans can feel engaged with their creators, profit in a safe and consensual way, with the creator earning more too.
