About MintStars

MintStars was founded in 2022 with our beta platform launching in January of 2023. We are a sex-positive content platform that works to protect sex workers from financial/banking discrimination, predatory fees, and censorship.

MintStars offers complete protection from chargebacks, low fees, instant payouts, and low-censorship of content.

Our HQ is located in London, but we have team members in LA, NYC, Boston, and more. We received venture funding from companies like SpankChain who believe in our mission and are also doing work to fight against banking discrimination for sex workers.

Dan Sargent, MintStars’ Co-Founder, decided to build MintStars after seeing the struggles that multiple close friends faced when it came to piracy and banking discrimination. Our Co-Founder, Jessica Van Meir, is a Harvard PhD student who is researching sex workers’ rights and actively advocates for the safety, rights, and decriminalization of sex workers. She is also the Co-Founder of Boston Sex Workers and Allies Collective, a collective fighting for the full decriminalization of sex work in MA.
